This year’s contest will be a Plein Air Painting Competition where artists are invited to choose a scene to paint from a designated outdoor location downtown any time between 8:00 am – 4:30 pm on October 5th.

About the event
For this year's competition, artists are welcome to participate in a Plein Air Painting Contest. They can select a scene to paint from a specific outdoor location in the downtown area between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm on October 5th.
• An exhibit featuring the completed paintings, titled "Hart in Motion", will be on display throughout the month of October where the public is encouraged to vote for their favorite in each category (beginner/intermediate and advanced/professional). Voting instructions will be available beginning October 5, 2024, during Artwalk.
The winners in each category of the HartPrize will be revealed on November 1st, with each receiving a $750 award.
The HartPrize aims to support local artists, foster community engagement, and enhance Hart with public art installations that infuse the area with vitality, genuine narratives, and artistic expression, contributing to the community's development.
